THE NOTICING PROJECT
The sunset caught, gilding the window arches,
igniting the top of the building,
Noticed while waiting for the light to change,
Downtown at the end of September.
…the end of the day,
the end of September.
A momentary distraction from the store front glitter,
the undertow of ordinary desire,
Noticed while waiting on a floating curb of concrete
before stepping back into the current,
…the end of the day,
the end of September.
